Setup Guide

Quickstart: zero to live overlay in 5 minutes

Three steps. No configuration required to start. You can always customize later.

1

Create your Tangia account

Head to tangia.org/signup. Enter your email, set a password, then click Connect with Twitch. This authorizes Tangia to listen to your channel's events (subscriptions, channel points, raids). No channel access, no moderation permissions.

Twitch OAuth scope: channel:read:subscriptions, channel:read:redemptions, channel:read:raids. Read-only. Tangia cannot post or moderate your chat.
2

Grab your browser source URL

Once connected, your Tangia dashboard shows a unique browser source URL:

Your overlay URL
https://overlay.tangia.org/live/YOUR_CHANNEL_ID?theme=default

This URL is unique to your channel. Keep it private — anyone with it can see your overlay preview.

3

Add the browser source in OBS

In OBS Studio, right-click your scene, add a Browser Source:

SettingValue
URLhttps://overlay.tangia.org/live/YOUR_CHANNEL_ID
Width1920
Height1080
FPS60 (30 is fine for most overlays)
Custom CSSLeave blank

Position the browser source layer above your game capture in the OBS layer stack so overlays appear on top of gameplay.

That's it. Go live and test with a channel point redemption. You should see the overlay fire within 1–2 seconds of a viewer redeeming.
